Cadence Solar Energy Center
The Cadence Solar Energy Center is a proposed solar power generation facility of up to 275 megawatts (MW) in Union County, Ohio, targeted to begin operating in 2025. Solar technology uses the power of the sun to deliver clean, renewable energy and is now one of the lowest-cost energy sources available.
The Cadence Solar Energy Center is an opportunity to boost the local economy of Union County and create jobs, all while generating clean, American made energy to meet Ohio's growing electricity demand.
At peak construction, Cadence Solar Energy Center is expected to employ as many as 700 people. After construction, the project will employ up to 4 additional permanent operations and maintenance (O&M) staff.
An estimated $141 million will be invested in Union County through new taxes and landowners’ payments over the life of the project.
